OCRISI conducted several researches on how mental health can help break the cycle of generational poverty and violence in our community, especially in low-income families. The research findings identified mental health as one of the foundational issues impacting low-income families. Some in low-income communities often neglect their own health and that of their children because of all of the other struggles they confront in their daily lives. Their lives are usually filled with many challenges, often compounding each other.
